Hello,
Did anyone else have this problem? I cant seem to properly read the ilon100s data log (using SOAP:DataLoggerRead) as soon as JAN-01-2005 came!
Whenever I specify any after JAN-01-2005 00:00:00, what I get is the earliest data in the beginning of the data log.. My value is ignored. So when I try to empty the entire logger, I keep getting the same old data over and over.
I rolled the clock back one year to 2004 in all our ilons and the problem went away!
Is anyone out there successfully using data logging with SOAP in the 2005 new year?
(Im using SP2)

Yes, we have problems with the datalogs with all the iLon 100s we have starting 2005. From the datalog web interface, it always display "Log is inconsistent. Clock may have been manually adjusted." and the scroll bar is disabled. I have not tried the SOAP calls but suspect the same problem as yours. This sounds like a serious clock bug in the iLon 100 software. If you find a solution, please post back.

No solution yet, but I did also notice the same inconsistency error on our ilons that you mentioned, so the problems may be the same.
To clarify my first message, which got garbled up a bit, here is the exact problem:
Whenever I make a DataLoggerRead SOAP call and specify a UCPTstartDate within the year 2005, the ilon just returns the earliest chunk of data in the logger (way before my specified start date) -- it ignores my specified start date altogether. This leaves my 2005 logger events inaccessible.
I ended up having to roll all of our ilon clocks back to 2000 (and disabling the time server feature) to get our system working again. 2000 is the only post-millennium year before 2005 that days of the week match the year 2005. However, its a leap year -- so we will be S.O.L. when February 29 comes around :)
Needless to say, this whole thing is quite embarrassing to have to explain to our customer.

I dont have a support contract (and I hope not to have to purchase one because of this problem.)
I submitted a "free" support request, but have not heard back yet. Would anyone experiencing this problem who has a support contract be willing to open a support call for this issue?

Hi,
we noted the same behaviour on our i.Lon 100! For example, if I ask data logger for first 20 records in 5-th of January, I get first 20 records of 4-th January. The error must be in the SOAP interface, because logged data are OK (we use binary logs and have self-developed tool for parsing it :-).
Our customer uses SOAP interface to export log and he is very upset, because it stopped to work... So I have made a "fake" in the exporting tool - before sending the SOAP request I increment the start and end time by one day, so the iLon returns correct data - as the "first aid". It is ugly, but it works...

Hello all,
Just wanted to drop you guys a quick note to let you know that Echelon is aware of the problem and a fix (downloadable from our website) is on its way, please hang on.
BTW, please make sure you install Service Pack 2 to your i.LON100 1.0 as the fix will more than likely require it.
Also, the problem should not be present in i.LON100e2 installations.
