2 setpoint PID process controller accepts feedback signals from up to two sensors with minmum, maximum, sum, difference, average, 2 zone minimum and 2 zone maximum calculations. Setpoints and feedback’s are directly programmed in process units.
Auto-derating at over temperature or phase loss is available to keep the VLT 8000 AQUA running under unusually demanding conditions. In the event the temperature increases beyond design conditions, the AQUA first reduces the switching frequency and if neccessary, reduces the output speed to maintain operation. The drive also automatically reduces its output frequency and power during an AC power phase loss or high phase imbalance condition to prevent excessive heat build-up in the DC capacitors and the resulting decrease in life expectancy.

Load dependent cooling fans run when ambient conditions and load factors require operation. Otherwise it switches off or reduces speed depending on the drives power size. This saves energy and most importantly increases the life expectancy of the cooling fans.

45° maximum without derating for VLT 6002 – 6005 200V class/ 6002 – 6011 400V class IP20
40° maximum without derating for VLT 6006 – 6062 200V class/VLT 6016 – 6550 400V class and all IP54 enclosures
