design a working "End to End" Solution
In the near future Echelon will add the 10 and 100 models to its i.LON line.
These new products will allow our customers to distribute control, management,
and design phases of LONWORKs networks through out the world.
While this has been possible with the iLon1000 and the SLTA, the new products
will make this function easier and cheaper to accomplish.
In most instances, we can expect the customer to leverage the accessibility of
the internet and the various web technologies.
To prepare for future applications and customer interest of distributed control and management
we must now look at the tools required to implement such applications in a scalable manner.
During this intensive one-day class we will be covering many topics, most of them very quickly
and we will expect you come with some understanding of the basics. We will discuss topics
such as XML, DOM, DHTML, JScript and many more. We intend to show you how all these
Internet/Web tools can be used to design a working "End to End" Solution, from your LonWorks
device, thru an i.Lon all the way to your web page, on the other side of the world.
To prepare for the class and to get the most from your time we are asking you to do a few hours
of Pre-Req reading.
We provided Overviews, Primers, or Introductions to each key topic for your convenient reading pleasure,
We realize how busy you are, but often you have time to read while flying, or taking the train to work.
Therefore we suggest you print and carry the attachments with you.
