The 140 CPU 434 12A and the 140 CPU 534 14A only may be upgraded to Unity Pro.
They are also the only PLCs that can be returned to the Concept Exec if
desired.
The update operation is done in two steps:
- Load an intermediary binary to make the PLC processor compatible with
Unity Pro. Loading can be done using either the Modbus Plus or the Modbus
Comm ports.
- load the Unity Pro operating system in the PLC processor. Loading can
be done using either the Modbus Plus or the Modbus Comm ports.
These two operations are done using the "OS loader" program in the "Start /
Schneider Electric / Unity Pro" program group. Use the Modbus Plus or the
Modbus Comm communication driver to update the PLC controller. Please consult
chapter 4, "OS-Loader", of the user's manual for more details on how to
load an operating system.

Only the PC with OS Loader should be connected to the Modbus Plus port when
loading the controller's operating system. Also, any communication failure
between the PC and the controller (disconnecting the communications cable
or a power failure) may make the PLC unusable.
