Heres the news: (1) LNS 3 SP7 Hotfix 1 Now Available Echelon released LNS 3 SP7 Hotfix 1 today. This hotfix corrects two customer-reported problems with LNS 3 SP7 on Windows XP and Windows 2000. This hotfix is optional--there is no need to install this hotfix unless you are running Windows XP or Windows 2000 and also have encountered one of these two problems. The first fix is to allow one or more LNS application(s) to run under the control of the Windows Service Manager along with one or more interactively-run LNS application(s). The LNS 3 SP7 Hotfix 1 readme more completely describes this problem and the supported configurations that are available after applying this hotfix. The second fix is to modify the folder permissions on the LonWorks folder on Windows XP so that members of the Power Users group can run LNS applications.
