Webbased Management system data available anywhere and any time
More and more, operators of systems and machines wish to get all system information at any place and at any time in a user-friendly, individual and standardized way. Web-based management offers a promising solution approach.
If small process-data quantities have to be transferred in real time and if parameter data have to fulfil moderate time requirements, INTERBUS is the ideal communication means. Besides the mature technology for transferring I/O data, a parameter channel (PCP), independent of process data, is made available for transferring the TCP/IP protocol. TCP/IP packets fed into the master transparently reach the field device through INTERBUS whereby the device will not find out the difference to the data transport via Ethernet. The INTERBUS- PCP channel is also very well suited for small devices, however without TCP/IP. If devices have no PCP channel, information can also be transferred via a process data window.
As router between INTERBUS and Ethernet network, a so-called representative provides the system/company network with the data made available by the device. As soon as this representative can identify a device in INTERBUS, it is also able to link locally filed data with data coming directly from the device. Since the representative at least needs a HTTP-/FTP server, individual web sides can be prepared easily and quickly for the configuration, monitoring and the diagnostic of the device.
